Quieting the Mind

Do you ever wish you could turn that little voice off that nags at you relentlessly. Don't forget you need to blah, blah, blah. You can quiet the mind. Check out this excerpt from the article at the link below.

Quieting the mind posted by River at The Juicy Truth.

I want to explore sex but life gets in the way. My schedule is tight. When I have time to relax I start thinking about things I need to do. Even when I'm having sex my mind gets distracted and I don't feel...

Pole Dancing Class

Today I have a great story from a friend. You go girl! I am looking into a belly dancing class myself.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So I signed up for a pole dancing class. I'm an average sized girl, but living in Orem, UT where plastic surgeries are more prevalent than LA, I'm considered a bit hefty. So signing up for the class I was a bit nervous. I just knew I would be stuck in a class of women that were all married and fit that would judge me immediately for being a single, white (which means no dancing skills), female. I read up online to see what I needed to wear. Tiny shorts, since your legs help grasp the pole, and a shirt that doesn't have a lot of movement, for when you do headstands and what-not.
What the hell did I get myself into? I'm not sexy. I'm what people would describe as cute and innocent, not someone who knows how to do crazy maneuvers on a pole. My Dad asked me where I was off to. I told him dance class? I suck at lying, especially to him. He asked what kind of dance... ha ha, awkward! He was supportive though and said as long as I didn't take the show to Vegas, he had no quorums over it.So I show up to class nervous and early. Being an hour and a half from the conservative town I live in, I had to leave early enough to make sure my bad sense of direction could get me there. So I'm the only one there. In a room of poles and listening to dirty dance music. To my relief the next two girls that walked in were voluptuous curvy women! And they looked just as terrified! I asked everyone why they were there, out of curiosity. Most of them were just doing it for fun... I actually read somewhere that a lot of rock climbers (MEN) do it to gain more upper body strength. One lady said it was part of her birthday present from her husband. She said he bought her a pole and lessons. I had to give her a hi-five.
We learned maneuvers like the martini, and the fireman. We did headstands and did moves like the Egyptian. By the end of the second class I felt like I might be able to fold up like a pretzel if I really tried.
We were all there for different reasons, but the one that we all could relate to was confidence. I can walk down the street now and hold my head up high. Because guess what? You might think I am an average meek quiet girl, but I have a secret you don't know. I could kick your ass in pole dancing.
When you take 5 for yourself today, do a quick breast self-exam. It's probably time, overdue or the very first time. Early detection is critical. Here is a link if you need the steps.
Feng Shui for the Bedroom
Feng Shui can enhance your love life. The great thing about it is that you can incorporate as many or as few of the suggestions as you like, and still get results. Not a believer…it doesn’t matter. It will still work. So what have you got to lose? All right, let’s get started.
Remove clutter to allow positive energy to flow.
Close all doors at night to keep the positive energy around you.
Display sensual or romantic artwork on the walls.
Rose quartz crystals will enhance self-confidence & creativity.
All displays, such as candles, pictures and pillows, should be done in pairs.
Two birds symbolize love and commitment.
Mandarin ducks and cranes mate for life and bring good energy to the room.
To increase eroticism, a red object should be placed on the female’s nightstand while scraps of copper in a jar should be placed on the male’s.
A ruby or garnet on the nightstand attracts the opposite sex.
Remove any objects with sad associations.
Pictures of the couple may be displayed but all other family pictures should be moved to another room. If you wouldn’t want the person there, you shouldn’t have their picture there. This goes for religious pictures and statues as well.
Consider colors and aromas as they are also important.
Keep the bed covers simple and comfortable.
Okay, off to bed. Sleep well ;)
Flirting with your man
Ok, if you have been following the blog, you should have white teeth, fresh breath and luscious lips. Oh, what to do…if you are in the quick kiss routine, it’s really much like locking the door before you leave, rather than a celebration of love.
So next time, try holding an extra couple seconds, touch his face and look him in the eyes. You will definitely have his attention as he watches you walk away. Oh, you are working it girl!
Would you know if you had bad breath?
Bad breath, or halitosis, can be very embarrassing. There are a variety of factors that can cause bad breath such as foods, tobacco, diets, medications and medical disorders.
When foods are consumed, they are absorbed into the blood stream and then moved to the lungs, where they are expelled. Garlic and onions are big offenders.
You should brush and floss daily to remove food particles that can cause bad breath. Brushing your tongue is also recommended. Mouthwash and breath mints can provide temporary relief from bad breath. Keep in mind that breath mints should always be sugar-free to be effective. Some people have found that taking chlorophyll supplements also help.
How do you know if you have bad breath? Breathing into your hand doesn't work. It might sound crazy, but lick the back of your hand and take a whiff. Or, you can always ask a loved one. Would you want someone to let you know if you have bad breath? Take the poll. (Poll Closed)
Deep Breathing
Deep breathing releases the body’s own painkillers (endorphins) into its system. This can help clear and focus the mind as well as relieve stress related aches and pains.
Begin by breathing in slowly and deeply through your nose, counting to six. Hold your breath while slowly counting to six. Exhale slowly through your mouth, again counting to six. Adjust count to your comfort level. The belly should expand as you breathe in. Repeat this exercise several times, aiming for at least 10 deep breathes per session.
This is a great exercise that can be done at any time. Work it in at a traffic light, in line at the grocery store or during your lunchtime. Try it now!
